Six Piece Wooden Train Set:
This train includes the engine, lumber car, barrel car, log car, tanker car, and caboose.
This handmade wooden train is an excellent gift because it will last for generations and become a family heirloom.
It is made with solid cherry and maple so it is as beautiful to look at as it is fun to play with.
Dimensions: 9 1/2 inches per car or a total of 57 inches.
The toys are made of only wood and glue. There are no metal fasteners. Certain joints are connected with dowels when extra strength is required such as connecting the locomotive boiler to the chassis.
All of the toys are sanded by hand. Corners and edges are rounded off by sanding to make them smooth and splinter free.
The only finish is a non-toxic mineral oil. It provides protection from moisture and stains as well as highlighting the grain patterns of the wood. If a toy does need to be refinished, just apply a little mineral oil with a rag and wipe it off.
